Services will be Saturday July 18, 2015 at 2:00 pm at the Assembly of God Church, Taloga, Oklahoma with burial following in Fairview Cemetery, Putnam, Oklahoma.

Keith Andrew Young, 64, of Taloga, passed from this life on July 13, 2015, in Oklahoma City, OK. He was born on March 7, 1951 in Putnam, OK to Andrew and Jewel (Valentine) Young. Keith grew up attending Fairlane Grade School and Norman High School. His High School career was cut short however when entered the United States Army on March 29, 1968 at the age of 17. Keith served our great nation well during the Vietnam War, rising to the rank of Sergeant and receiving the Vietnamese Cross of Gallantry, Purple Heart and the Army Commendation Medal which cited "His unrelenting loyalty, initiative, and perseverance brought him wide acclaim and inspired others to strive for maximum achievement." He was honorably discharged on April 5, 1971. After this Keith lived in Tulsa, where he worked on technical programming for data processing and was a member of the Disabled American Veterans (DAV), the Troopers Association, and the Tulsa Police Memorial. On July 12, 1985, Keith married the love of his life Karen Lynn Young at the Carbondale Assembly Church in Tulsa, Oklahoma, and to this union four children Michael, Elizabeth, Brittany, and Chad were born. In May of 1982, Keith was baptized at the Glenwood Assembly of God Church, now known as CrossPointe, and served out his faith as a choir member and as a Commander in the Royal Rangers. He also served at the Boy's Home and as a Youth Leader at the Red Fork Assembly of God. In his spare time, Keith enjoyed hunting and fishing.
Keith is preceded in death by his grandparents, Cecil and Zeta Young, and Roy and Pansy Valentine, his father Andrew Young, sister Arla James, and his uncle Cecil Hicks.
Left to carry his legacy are his wife of 30 years, Karen of the home; four children, Michael Young of Tulsa, Elizabeth Roark of Tulsa, Brittany Young of Taloga, and Chad Cumming of Cordell; three sisters, Letha Mayberry and husband Jim of Tulsa, Karen Sperling of Sapulpa, and Sharon Ennis of Taloga; brother Steve Young and wife Charlotte of Putnam, as well as two grandchildren, and numerous nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins, and a lifetime of friends.
