Obituary

Kenneth Floyd Schoenhals was born to Henry J. and Hulda J. (Kelln) Schoenhals on April 20, 1940 in Shattuck, Oklahoma at Newman Memorial Hospital. Kenny passed from this life on October 9, 2008 at Kindred Hospital in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma at the age of 68 years 5months and 20 days.
He learned his values of hard work and his love for farming as he grew up on the family farm Northwest of Shattuck with his two older brothers Norman and Jerald. Kenny raised and exhibited prize winning Angus Cattle. One of the highlights of his FFA career was winning Reserve Grand Champion at the Oklahoma City Jr Livestock Show in 1957. Kenny was selected as Outstanding FFA Member and was a member of the Shattuck High School basketball and football teams receiving honors as All District Football Player.
Kenny attended Oklahoma State University at Stillwater and returned to Ellis County to operate a dairy with Russell and Lelia Sims. It was during this time that his family grew to include twin daughters, Kenna and Karra to be followed five years later by youngest daughter, Keela.
Kenny's love of farming and custom harvesting expanded his traveling from South Texas to Denver to Wyoming. Kenny was known on the road as "Big Mac" to his harvest crew who he enjoyed teaching custom harvesting.
On July 21, 1973, Kenny married Peggy Stout at the First Baptist Church of Arnett. To this blended family came Tracy, Dianna and Reed Stout. Kenny enjoyed attending livestock shows and sporting events. He served on the Arnett School Board from 1977 to 1981.
Kenny has enjoyed watching his grandkids grow up and spending time with them. He loved attending auctions and purchasing treasures for his family and friends. Another favorite pastime was his "gift of gab". He loved talking to people.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Henry and Hulda Schoenhals; by his daughter, Karra Schoenhals; by his stepson, Reed Stout; by his brother Norman Schoenhals and by his son-in-law Randy Woolbright.
Kenny is survived by his wife Peggy of the home in Arnett, Ok; by his daughters Kenna Storie of Denton, Texas, Keela White of Norman, Ok, Tracy Imke and husband Terry of Stillwater and Dianna Woolbright of Altus, Ok; by his brother Jerald Schoenhals and wife Karen of Centennial, Colorado; 14 grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren, aunts, uncles, other family and a host of friends.
