Kenneth Lee Williamson, of Leedey, Oklahoma, passed from this life on July 16, 2014, at the age of 82, at his home surrounded by family. He was born March 29, 1932, to Cleo and Delma (Kays) Williamson at Hammon, Oklahoma. He attended school at Moorewood through the eighth grade, finishing his high school years at Leedey, graduating with the class of 1950. On April 25, 1952, he married his high school sweetheart, Ila Mae (Shorty) Ferrell at Taloga, Oklahoma. Soon after, Kenneth served in the Army from November 1952 until his honorable discharge in May 1954. He earned the Korean Service Medal with 2 Bronze Service Stars, United Nations Service Medal and the National Defense Service Medal. Kenneth accepted Christ as his Savior on November 25, 1962, and was a member of the Leedey Church of Christ. Kenneth and Shorty made their home in the Leedey area then moved to Oklahoma City for a short while, working as a carpenter. They then moved back to Leedey and bought the family farm south of Moorewood, where they resided for the rest of their lives. They raised three children, Floyd Wayne, Donita Lee, and Kenny Eugene. The family ran a Grade A dairy farm for 25 years and he was active in AMPI. He farmed and raised cattle until his health failed. Kenneth was a good carpenter and with the help of friends and neighbors, built their home. He also helped with the remodeling of the Church of Christ. Kenneth was a very artistic man, and in later years he learned to make stained glass art. He thoroughly enjoyed making stained glass articles for friends and family. He liked to tinker out in the shop, working on machinery and such, with his dogs and cats "helping out." He liked to watch college basketball and when the Thunder came to Oklahoma, he became an avid fan. Kenneth loved his family and when the grandsons were born, he was very proud of them and all their accomplishments.

Kenneth was preceded in death by his wife Ila Mae, parents Cleo and Delma Williamson, and brother Joe Williamson and wife Nadine.

He is survived by his children Floyd Williamson and wife Paula of Coalgate, Oklahoma, Donita Smith and husband Monte of Hammon, Oklahoma and Kenny Williamson and wife Dora of Leedey, Oklahoma; grandchildren Michael Williamson and wife Nicole of Yukon, Oklahoma, Brandon Williamson and wife Questa of Carter, Oklahoma, and Kevin Smith and wife Kerri of Temple, Texas; great-grandchildren Caleb, Leah, Allie and Brinlee; brother-in-law Odell Ferrell and wife Judy of Butler, Oklahoma; other relatives and a host of friends.
