Larry Eugene Ball, passed from this life on January 2, 2025, in Shattuck, Oklahoma, at the age of 64. He was born on August 3, 1960, in Woodward, Oklahoma, to Melvin "Roy" Ball and Arnetta May (Hunter) Ball.

Larry spent his formative years in Woodward, attending Woodward Public Schools and  in 1978, shortly after high school, Larry married Robin Elaine DeWald. Together, they were blessed with two sons, Colby and Brock.

Larry's chosen vocation was the oilfield industry, where he worked as a driller for many years, earning the respect and admiration of his colleagues. On October 5, 1993, Larry married Susan Jean Hughes, and they made their home in Woodward, raising their children, Dustin and Mandy.

A man of many interests, Larry found joy in the outdoors, especially during camping trips to the lake, fishing, water skiing, and baseball and basketball games.

Larry is preceded in death by his father, Roy Ball; his wife, Susan Ball; his brother, Lindin Ball; four uncles; six aunts; and other cherished loved ones.

He leaves behind a legacy of love and cherished memories, carried forward by his mother, Arnetta Ball of Woodward, Oklahoma; his children, Colby Ball of Phoenix, Arizona, Brock Ball of Baltimore, Michigan, Dustin Ball of Fort Collins, Colorado, and Mandy Rush and her husband Dylan of Arnett, Oklahoma; and his precious grandchildren, Lainey Ball and Remi Rush. Larry is also survived by his three sisters, Glenda Garrison and her husband Rick, Sheila Childress, and Kay Husketh, all of Woodward, Oklahoma; his uncle Elvin Hunter and aunt Ann Hunter; his aunt Norma Jean Story and uncle Jerry Story; his aunt Shirley Hunter; as well as numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.

Larry's family extends heartfelt thanks to the staff of Newman Memorial Hospital for their care and compassion during his final days. He will be deeply missed but fondly remembered by all whose lives he touched.
