IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Lee Chauncey
Clothier, Jr.
February 11, 1938 – March 7, 2024
Lee Chauncey Clothier Jr. (Chuck) was born 2/11/1938 in Isabella Oklahoma. His family survived one of the most difficult times in our country's history, what's known as the Dust Bowl. He grew up farming the land and always had amazing stories of the life he lived in his younger days.
He married Viva Rae Dudgeon in 1958. Soon after he answered the call of duty and served a short stint in the military, but ultimately was sent home to take care of his family on orders from the government.
Chuck passed away peacefully in his sleep on the morning of 3/7/2024. After his wife Viva passed in 2021 he continued to hold onto her memory with all his strength. The love he had for her was evident to his last breath. He is now reunited in glory.
Chuck was preceded in death by his parents Lee and Edith Eilleen Clothier, his wife Viva Clothier and his brother Glen (Gene) Clothier.
He is survived by his children: Raymond Lee Clothier and his wife Amelia, Mary Ann Harizavi and her husband Nick, Paula Sue Lopez and her husband Michael, Carolyn Adams, Lori Smith, and Jerith Lee Clothier and his wife Amber; his brothers Orville and Gifford Clothier, and many many grandchildren, great grandchildren, and even great great grandchildren.
The thing we will remember most about Chuck is his humor, his love of scripture, and his musical gifts. Oh and his love of Clinton Red Tornado football games!
The stories of his life taught us to work hard, persevere and cherish the small things. He was a simple man with simple goals. Love Jesus, work hard and honest, and most of all laugh. Even when it's laughing because you're pestering other people.
The legacy he leaves behind is a family of faith.
