Lelia Lorraine (Spargo) Pugh, daughter of Harold and Viola (Taylor) Spargo was born March 13, 1940 at Bryant IL. She passed from this life February 18, 2020 at the age of 79 at Arnett, OK. She grew up in the Birch Tree, MO. community with her nine siblings and attended Birch Tree schools graduating with the class of 1958.
She married Oren Albert Pulliam and two daughters, Violet Lee and Elizabeth June blessed their union. In 1963, Lelia was united in marriage to Russell Jerry King and they were blessed with a son, Russell R. and a daughter Lorraine A. (Lanie).
In 1969 Lelia and Jerry made their home in Rosston, OK. Lelia worked in restaurants and operated the bowling alley in Laverne, OK., she and Jerry also operated the local tavern in Rosston for a short time. In 1976 they relocated to Shattuck, OK. and Lelia worked at Jack & Jill and A & J Grocery before gaining employment at Newman Memorial Hospital until her retirement. Her years working at the hospital were some of her most precious memories and she always had a story to tell about her time there. She loved word search puzzles, dancing, playing cards and always had a starlight mint or three in her pocket and her hair and makeup done to perfection.
In 1987 Lelia married J. Wayne Pugh and they resided north of Shattuck, OK. Later in life she lived in Camargo, OK. with her very dear friend Alpha Yeatman.
Lelia is preceded in death by her parents, Harold & Viola, her son Russell King, four of her siblings, Rose, Pat, Rick and Jim and husbands, Oren Pulliam, Jerry King and Wayne Pugh.
She is survived by her daughters, Lorraine (Lanie) Cadwell and husband Jim of Arnett, OK., Elizabeth June Munsell and husband Forrest of Enid, OK. and Violet Lee Rankin of Woodward, OK. Her siblings, Mary Marquez, David Spargo, Jack Spargo, Ginger Mitchell and Margie Johnson, her grandchildren, great grands, other relatives and friends.
