Lester Verl "Bud" Hanan, 83, of Arnett, Oklahoma, died peacefully at his home on March 5, 2012. Mr. Hanan was born on November 16, 1928, in Arnett to Clarence and Faye Hanan. He married Wanda Faye Black on December 31, 1949. Following his service in the United States Marine Corps, he and his father began a partnership in dairy and wheat production. He enjoyed quail hunting with his friends and birddogs. He was a longtime member of the Arnett Church of Christ. He is survived by his wife, Wanda of the home, children, Roy Don Hanan and wife Lesa; Mary Beth Hanan and husband Scott Johnson; Jennifer Joy Ronan; and Thomas Joe Hanan and wife Angie. He is also survived by six grandchildren, Heather Don Hanan, Ashley Anne Ronan, Jacob Taylor Hanan, Alexander Paul Ronan, Caleb Joe Hanan, and Audrey Faye Hanan. A brother, Clifford Hanan and two sisters, Lavina Mitchell and Norma Lee Sibley also survive him. Verl was a good friend and helper to all. A graveside service will be held at the Arnett Cemetery on March 7, 2012 at 2:00. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Oklahoma Medical Research Foundation at www.omrf.org.
