IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Linda "Grammy"
Cash
June 30, 1943 – May 23, 2024
Linda, a beloved mother, grammy, sister and friend, passed away peacefully on May 23, 2024 at the age of 80. Born on June 30, 1943, in Enid, OK, to Frank and Muriel King. She was the oldest of four siblings and took her big sister role very seriously. Linda was a member of First Christian Church and was baptized on March 22, 1953 in Seminole, OK. The Lord shone through Grammy by the light and love she radiated to everyone she met. When she was in high school at Wynnewood, OK, she met the love of her life Jacky Durwood Cash. They were married on February 22, 1960. To this union 5 children were born; Tammy Rae, Gina Dawn, Shelly Denise, Jacque Lynn, Brad Delon. The two of them loved dancing and bowling, where she even bowled a perfect score receiving her "300 pin."
Linda was a hard worker doing what was necessary to help provide for her family. She worked in café's and the flower shop in Vici, OK, then started her career in banking in Thomas, OK. She continued that career in Beaver, OK for over 30 years. She retired as assistant cashier at The Bank of Beaver City. She loved everyone no matter their status.
Linda dedicated her life to her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren up until her death. She was looking forward to being a great-great grammy come this September. Attending every sporting event possible was what she loved the most. She considered herself very blessed to have had the opportunity to watch all six of her grandkids grow up in Beaver, OK. She was the most dedicated fan of all her "kids." Once being dubbed "fan of the year." In recent years she never missed a game online if she could help it. She loved, loved, loved every second of following her kids. She was known as Grandma Linda or Grammy to everyone!!! Her world famous popcorn balls made her the favorite house to hit every Halloween.
The last 3 ½ years Grammy has been a resident at the Beaver County Nursing Home. She was a favorite amongst her neighbors and those who cared for her. She enjoyed her meal times spent with her lady friends where stories were told about their days of yesteryear over and over and over! Grammy was voted "Nursing Home Cowchip Queen" and rode in the parade last August. She was all smiles!!
Her smile, compassion and kindness were felt by all who knew her. Grammy's laughter was contagious, her smile brightened every room. She faced life's challenges with grace and strength, inspiring those around her to do the same. Her family and friends will always remember her for her unwavering love, positivity, and generosity.
