Linda Diane Doyal, age 74, of Topeka, Kansas, passed away peacefully at her home on Sunday, February 16th, 2025. She was born on January 31, 1951, in Higgins, Texas, to Woody and Vivian (Booth) Williams. Linda grew up in Higgins, Texas, later moving to Dumas, Texas in 1973, Scott City, Kansas in 1983, and finally settled in Topeka in 1991.

On April 28, 1973, Linda married the love of her life, Jimmey A. Doyal, in Higgins, Texas. Together, they raised two sons, Scott and Lance Doyal.

Linda began her career as a Certified Nursing Assistant and Home Health Aide at Newman Memorial Hospital in Shattuck, Oklahoma (1967–1973). After moving to Scott City, she worked as a dietary aide at Park Lane Nursing Home (1983–1991). Upon relocating to Topeka, she joined Washburn University as a Business Office Manager, where she managed dining services operations until her retirement in 2017.

Linda was known for her warm heart and vibrant spirit. She cherished time spent with family and friends, playing games, sharing stories, and creating lasting memories. A passionate cook and collector of cookbooks, she ensured every gathering had more than enough food for everyone. Holidays were especially important to Linda, with Christmas and Easter being her favorites. She lovingly prepared holiday traditions for her children, nieces, nephews, and especially her beloved grandchildren.

She is survived by her husband, Jimmey Doyal of Topeka; her sons, Scott (Carrie) Doyal and Lance (Jamie) Doyal, all of Topeka; her sister, Dynett Groff of Fulshear, Texas; her brother, Carson Williams of Miami, Texas; and her grandchildren, Jordan, Baylie, Kaitlyn, Walker, Miles, and Vivi Doyal.

Linda was preceded in death by her parents and her brother, Steve Williams.
