Linda C. (Wiebe) Lynes, 61 year old resident of Sharon, Oklahoma, passed from this life on March 26, 2013 in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. Linda was born to Olga Wiebe on September 5, 1951. Due to unfortunate circumstances she was adopted by Nick and Irma Crawford Wiebe. The family lived in Allison, Texas.
Linda attended Allison Public Schools, graduating with the class of 1970. She continued her education at the High Plains Technology Center in Woodward, Oklahoma.
On July 13, 2011 Linda married her best friend, Allen Lynes, in Branson, Missouri. They made their home on the farm west of Sharon, Oklahoma. Linda worked as a nurse's aid at the Vici Nursing Home and has always been a caregiver. Linda always put the need of others and their care before herself. She also worked in house keeping. She was CAN of the month at the Mooreland Heritage Manor and was recognized as outstanding student in the Occupational Service Program. Linda enjoyed putting together photo albums and playing with her dog Misty. She loved spending time with her nieces and nephews, and any kid she came into contact with she kept a special place for them in her heart.
On July 31, 1966 Linda was baptized at the Lincoln Avenue Baptist Church. She was attending the 1000 Hills Ranch Church in Woodward, Oklahoma and was active in the Howdy Team.
Linda was preceded in death by her parents, Nick and Irma Wiebe, father-in-law Jack Lynes, sister Rosie Lee Wiebe, sister-in-law Gleneis Wiebe, nephew Shannon Wayne Hutchison and step-sister Rosie Knowes.
She is survived by husband Allen Lynes of Sharon, Oklahoma; her birth mother Olga Froese of Inola, Oklahoma; mother-in-law Lottie Lynes of Woodward, Oklahoma; brother Charles Wiebe of Cactus, Texas; sister Shaila King and husband Steve of Wellington, Kansas; sister Cindy Hill and husband Bob of Haysville, Kansas; sister Deana Patterson of Hutchinson, Kansas; sister Anna Lawson and Steve of Cocoa Beach, Florida; sister Judy Davis and husband Rick of Sting, Oklahoma; sister-in-law Lelia Cutsinger and husband Dennis of Vici, Oklahoma; one granddaughter Kamryn McDowell, 6 nieces, 5 nephews, other family and a host of friends.
