Obituary

Loving wife, mother, grandma and friend, Jean Moore, went to be with her Lord, at her home, on November 29, 2009. Lola Jean Richard Moore, eldest child of Roy Rolla and Elsie Evelyn Gray Richard, was born September 1, 1932, at the family home southwest of Harmon. She was soon joined by a brother Gordon Leroy and a sister Vera Evelyn. She accepted Christ at age fifteen and was baptized and became a member of the First Baptist Church of Arnett. Soon she and her siblings were blessed with a baby sister Burma Karen who was so loved and adored, but God called her home at sixteen months of age. Jeannie's early years were spent enjoying nature, trapping rabbits with her dad, swinging in her old tire swing and singing with the birds. She also learned the adversities of nature—sand burrs and blister bugs! Her love of nature remained with her all her life. She always had an enormous garden that she was eager to share with others. She also loved animals and had her own horse, Tarzan. Jeannie started school at the Harmon one room school house. Her parents moved to a home closer to the school as walking was the mode of travel. Her uncle Bob, now Dr. Robert Richard, was her mentor and companion in getting her adjusted to a new way of life. She loved school and excelled in her studies. High school was her next challenge—from having only one classmate at Harmon to over twenty at Arnett! The challenge was met with great success as she graduated in 1950 as Co-Valedictorian.
During Jeannie's senior year a handsome young country boy, Frank Walters Moore, came a courting. On July 20, 1950, Jeannie and Frank were united in marriage. To this union, four children were born, Richard Creston, Russell Frank, Daralyn Jean and Dawna June. Together the family spent countless hours working the land and enjoying the fruits of their labor. Jeannie's gift of cooking and hospitality was enjoyed by everyone. She had a way of making everyone feel special. Hearts were broken when Russell met an untimely death at age fifteen. It was their faith in God that sustained them through this difficult time. Jeannie loved her church and served at the noon day meals, bible school and enjoyed teaching her Sunday school class. Fourteen years of serving as an assistant rural mail carrier was worked into her busy schedule. She and Frank continued working side by side on the farm, sharing their compassion for hard work for fifty-nine years.
The children married and brought two sons-in-law, Marc Hatton and Bobby Loveless and one daughter-in-law, Karen Nash Moore. Ten grandchildren were welcomed into the family; Kayce Nicole, Tara Jene', Creston Nash, Kathryn Janel, Audra Jean, Brett Chari', Cami Dawn, Brandon Kirk, Bryan Marc and Caterina Florentina. By marriage five new members were added; Cody Rice, Josh Henry, Brian Bull, Clint Williams and Emily Hatton.
Preceding her in death were her parents Roy Richard and Evelyn Ford, son Russell Frank Moore and our precious grandson Bryan Marc Hatton went to play in heaven at the age of seven. Loving family left behind are husband Frank Moore, son Rick, Karen, Creston, and Kathryn Moore; Cody, Kayce, Norah, and Lily Rice; Tara and Cheyenne Henry; daughter Daralyn and Cami Dawn Loveless; Brian and Audra Bull; Clint and Brett Chari' Williams; Marc, daughter Dawna and Caterina Hatton; Kirk and Emily Hatton and aunts, uncles, cousins and many dear friends.
It is Jean's sincere wish that all friends and relatives gathered here today have a personal relationship with the Lord and she will see each of you again in Heaven.
