Loren Dean Harrel, son of Cecil Everett and Margaret Josephine (Traver) Harrel was born in Liberal, Kansas on October 27, 1932 and passed from this life in Vici, Oklahoma on January 18, 2013 at the age of 80. Loren was raised in Kansas, Texas, Colorado, and Oklahoma. He attended grade school in Kansas and Texas, and moved back to Kansas for his high school years.

On July 12, 1955 Loren married Anna Belle Titus at Clayton, New Mexico. Five children were born to this union: DeAnn, Nalina, Harvey, Tabitha and Justin. The family moved many times following Loren's work in the Army. He served in the Army from 1951 through 1953. Loren was also a welder and mechanic.

Loren member of the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witness. He attended Elk City and Woodward churches. He truly loved fishing and spending time at the Kingdom Hall.

Loren was preceded in death by his wife Anna Belle (Titus) Harrel, parents, Cecil and Margaret Harrel, and one grandson Ben Holt. He is survived by brother Bruce Harrel and wife Jan of Colorado; two sisters Wanda Boehm and husband Richard of Montana and Faye Harrel of Colorado; three daughters Cecilia DeAnn Morford and husband Terry, Nalina Kathleen Clinesmith and husband Otis and Tabitha Ann Nutter and husband Bryan; two sons Norman Harvey Harrel and wife Teresa and Justin Other Harrel and wife Elaina; 13 grandchildren; 22 great-grandchildren, several nieces, nephews, other family and a host of friends.
