Loretta May Palmer Calkins passed from this life October 8, 2024 at 92 years of age, she was born September 28, 1932 to Harold and Clara (Baird) Palmer.  Loretta was married to the love of her life, Loran Calkins May 5, 1950.  They made their homes in Dewey County and to their union two sons were born, Cecil Floyd and Steven Clyde.  Loretta enjoyed gardening, cooking, family gatherings and the holidays. She was a member of the Raymond Homemaker Club for twenty-five years. She is preceded in death by her husband Loran Calkins, her parents Harold and Clara Palmer, brother Harold Palmer, Jr., two sisters Maureen Lee and Shirley Palmer and other loved ones.  Loretta is survived by her sons, Cecil Calkins and his wife Carol of Webb, OK. and Steve Calkins and his wife Marlis of Taloga, OK.  Four grandchildren, Robert Bryan Calkins and wife Angela of Muskogee, OK., Travis Calkins and his wife Rachele of Sharon, OK., Shelby Calkins of Vici, OK., Chase Calkins of Oklahoma City. Four great grandchildren, Dalton Calkins, Dillen Calkins, Heather Calkins and Hayden Calkins. One great great granddaughter Rori Calkins.  One brother Larry Don Palmer of McCloud, OK., several nieces, nephews and cousins, other relatives and friends.
