Lorraine Elberta (Dickson) Freeman was born October 18, 1929 at Shattuck, OK.  She completed her earthly journey at the age of 91 years, 6 months and 10 days on April 28, 2021 at Oklahoma City, OK.  Lorraine was the daughter and only child of M.L. and Tony (Biggs) Dickson.  Her early years were spent in the Eddie community where she attended the country school before the family moved to Arnett, OK.  Lorraine completed her formal education in the Arnett Public schools graduating with the class of 1947.

On March 8, 1949, Lorraine was united in marriage to the love of her life, William (Bill) M. Freeman at Pampa, TX.  They established their home in Arnett, OK. and were blessed with four children, Linda, Robert (Bob), Vicki and Shari.  Along with being a wife and mother, Lorraine worked outside the home for several years.  Her occupations included being a waitress, the water bill collector, an employee of the County Treasurers office and a teller at Farmers and Merchants Bank in Arnett. She was a member of the Bridge Club, the American Legion Post 313 Auxiliary and she was a baptized member of the Arnett Methodist Church.  Many memories were made during these years.

In 1981 Bill and Lorraine moved from Arnett to their new home two miles west of Fargo, OK. where they enjoyed the country life.  Lorraine continued her special interests of gardening, bowling, playing bridge, dancing, attending sporting events of her children and grandchildren and baking a variety of goodies for everyone to enjoy.

Lorraine was a loving wife, mother and grandmother, a respected community servant and a friend to many.

Memories of happy times will be cherished by her children, Linda Freeman of Arnett, OK., Robert (Bob) Freeman and spouse Jan of Fargo, OK., Vicki Miller and spouse, Joe of Piedmont, OK. and Shari Brecht and spouse Jack of Edmond, OK.  Her grandchildren, Tanya Pancoast of Mustang, OK., Clay Miller and spouse Lacy of Blanchard, OK., Kala Jones and spouse Darin of Enid, OK., Cody Freeman and spouse Andi of Tuttle, OK., Whitney Russell and spouse Steve of Edmond, OK., Chris Brecht-Smith and spouse Michael of Tulsa, OK., Ashley Weingart and spouse Ben of Edmond, OK.; twenty-one great grandchildren, other relatives and numerous friends.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Melba L. (Shep) and Ione (Tony) Dickson and her beloved husband, William (Bill) Freeman.
