Loyd William Ward, 81 year old Lawton, OK resident passed on March 5, 2021 in Oklahoma City, OK. Loyd was born on September 28, 1939 to Delbert and Inez (Cox) Ward in Taloga, OK. He graduated from Taloga Public Schools.

On May 20, 1959 Loyd married Joyce Robison in Taloga, OK. To this union four children were born Loyd William Jr, Anita Jane, Robin Lynne and James Wesley. The family's primary residences were Oklahoma and Colorado. Loyd had two special friends that he thought the world of, Rena Martin and Tabitha Scherff and considered them as family.

Loyd worked as a route salesman and a delivery driver for most of his career. He was a hard-working man and enjoyed what he did. In his spare time, he liked to go fishing, bowling, camping and watching football but most of all spending time with the family he so dearly loved.

Loyd is preceded in death by his parents Delbert and Inez Ward, one brother Calvin Ward and one sister Dorothy Byrd.

He is survived by his four children Loyd William Ward Jr and wife Brenda of Apache, OK, Anita Jane Ward of Lawton, OK, Robin Lynne Jones of Lawton, OK and James Wesley Ward and wife Rachel of Colorado Springs, CO; thirteen grandchildren; twenty-five great-grandchildren; two brothers Leon Ward of Pueblo, CO and David Ward and wife Lola of Woodward, OK; two special friends Rena Martin and Tabitha Scherff of Colorado Springs, Co; many nieces, nephews, cousins, other family and a host of friends.

Loyd could improve anyone's day through his positive and jovial personality as well as his witty sense of humor. He was strong in his beliefs, loving but not boastful. Instead, Loyd let his actions and demonstrations of love speak louder than any words. These positive influences and qualities will remain in the memories of the many people Loyd has touched, and most of all in the children and family he leaves behind.
