Obituary

Lynn Marie Harer, a beloved daughter, sister, friend, and animal lover, passed away on June 15, 2023, in Seiling, Oklahoma. Lynn was born on June 27, 1977, in Frederic, Wisconsin, to Gerald and Betty Harer. She grew up in Beloit, Wisconsin, and also spent some time in Florida before settling in Oklahoma. Lynn had a kind and friendly nature that endeared her to a wide circle of friends and acquaintances.

Though Lynn's formal education concluded in the 10th grade, she possessed a strong work ethic and took on various odd jobs throughout her life. She dedicated many years as a cook, working at different nursing homes. Her culinary skills brought comfort and nourishment to countless individuals, leaving a lasting impact on those she served.

One of Lynn's passions was gardening, particularly tending to vibrant flowers that brought joy to her life and the lives of others. Her green thumb was a testament to her nurturing spirit, and she found solace in the beauty she cultivated. Additionally, Lynn had a deep love for animals, and her favorite companion was her cherished cat, Nomie. Her empathy and care extended beyond her feline friend, as she consistently showed kindness and compassion towards all creatures.

Lynn is survived by her loving parents, Gerald and Betty Harer, who supported and cherished her throughout her life's journey. She also leaves behind her special friend and partner, Rodney Hiebert, who was a constant source of love and companionship. Lynn's memory will forever live on in the hearts of her sister, two brothers, and her beloved cat Nomie. Additionally, a host of friends and loved ones mourn her loss and hold dear the memories they shared with her.

At this time, no services are planned to commemorate Lynn's life. However, the Taloga Area Ministerial Alliance will be holding a benefits dinner at a later date and time, to be announced. This gathering will provide an opportunity for the community to come together, celebrate Lynn's life, and support one another in this time of loss.

Lynn Marie Harer's kind spirit, passion for gardening, love for animals, and her ability to forge connections with people will be deeply missed. May she rest in peace, knowing that her presence made a difference in the lives of those who had the privilege of knowing her.
