Margaret Lucille Whitmarsh-Flewelling was born on November 19 th , 1955 in Woodward, OK to Rev. Dale and Lois Whitmarsh. The family soon moved around Oklahoma during her childhood. Margaret always wanted to go visiting others when her daddy would go do visitations, she would get upset if her daddy told her no. Being a pastor's daughter, this was often the case . Margaret was often mischievous, always playing games with her siblings- anything from climbing trees, making mud pies, right up to playing paper dolls. When there was a garden, she was often out eating veggies straight from the vine.
Margaret attended many grade schools through Oklahoma, she spent her Junior years of school at Okmulgee and Custer City; and when her Senior year of school came, the family moved to Eakly, OK, where Margaret graduated in 1975. Margaret then attended beauty school in Stillwater, OK but decided this was not her calling. So she soon found a nurse's aide job and found this branch of the medical field her calling.
On January 15 th , 1978 she married Gary L. Flewelling. Margaret was delighted on May 12 th , 1980 when Amy Diana was born. On October 20 th , 1981 her son Jeremy Dale completed her little family. Margaret struggled raising her children after her marriage ended. Dale and Lois took her, Amy and Jeremy in Margaret worked hard putting herself though school in Jacksonville, MO, becoming a CNA. Margaret worked in different nursing homes in Missouri and Oklahoma. In the Summer of 1987, Margaret and family moved a final time settling in Vici, OK, where she sat with many elderly people. In 1996, she retired due to her medical health . She loved watching children grow, graduate, and get married. Margaret's greatest joy was her children and her family and friends. Margaret also loved her many pets.
Margaret is preceded in death by her father Dale, mother Lois, brother Byron Ray, and both sets of grandparents, and other family members.
Margaret is survived by her two children, Amy Stein of the home, Jeremy Flewelling of the home; sisters Lora Stutzman of Tulsa, OK, Lisa Logdson and husband Steve of Tulsa; nieces Dara Jennings and husband John, Cathy Suder and husband Kris, Jerrod Stutzman and wife Melissa of Edmond, OK Audrea Beeman, and nephew Danny Jones- all of Tulsa; and great-nieces and nephews and other family and a host of friends.
Funeral service will be held Wednesday, August 28 at 11:00 a.m. at the Church of the Nazarene in Vici, OK. Burial to follow at Sunnyside Cemetery. Memorial donations may be made towards the costs of the funeral service-
