Obituary

Margaret Ann Wagnon was born March 18, 1937, in Durham, Oklahoma to J.C. "Carl" Shaw and Vivian Kinzer Shaw. She passed from this life January 21, 2010 at the age of 72.

Margaret was raised on a farm north of Durham, Oklahoma, graduating with the class of 1955. She spent her younger years traveling to California, Las Vegas, Nevada and then back to Oklahoma City where she worked for Cattleman's Café and General Electric.

In 1964, she was united in marriage to J.V. "Bub" Wagnon Jr. They made there home on the Birt and Ida Wagnon Ranch south and east of Arnett, Oklahoma and later bought and settled on the north side of the Nicholson Ranch. Now the ranch is known as Wagnon Ranch.

Margaret worked side by side with Bub on the ranch everyday until her health would not permit her to do this anymore. Margaret enjoyed gardening, canning, picking wild plums for her jelly and jams, crocheting pot holders and going to the horse races. Margaret helped a lot of people no matter what the task might be, big or small, she was there. Everyone loved Margaret!

Margaret was preceded in death by her parents, Carl and Vivian Shaw, her brother M.H. Shaw, her father-in-law and mother-in-law, Jack and Eunice Wagnon and her nephew Jerry Don Webb and his wife Janet Webb. She is survived by her husband, J.V. "Bub" Wagnon, a step-son Walt and his wife Susan Wagnon, three grandchildren, W.C. Wagnon, Ryan and Chassidy Wagnon and Megan and Ben Hight and three great-grand children Christian, Chloe and Maddie. She was excited about the newest great grandchild due in June, who is going to be her namesake Aubrey Ann Wagnon. She is also survived by her niece Eunice Wise and her children, Chris and Candy Steffen, nephew Steve Martin and his wife Patti, her cousins Ardise, Thoral and Albert Shaw and children, other family and many dear friends.
