Obituary
Visitation will be held at the Shaw Funeral Home of Shattuck on Sunday from 2-6, and Monday 9-7. Visitation will also be held at the First United Methodist Church of Fargo on Tuesday from 8AM - 10:30AM.
Graveside Services will be held at the Gnadenfeld Cemetery in Fargo on Tuesday, February 3, 2015 at 11:00 A.M. Maria's family have entrusted her care, services, and burial to Bart Watkins and the staff of Shaw Funeral Home.
Maria Rosina (Fritzler) Feil, 95 of Fargo, OK, went to be with her Lord on January 31, 2015 in Shattuck, OK. Maria was born on March 19, 1919 in Hooker, OK to Fred G. and Rosa (Young) Fritzler. Maria went to Hooker Public Schools completing the 8th grade and after a brief time in Madera, CA the family settled south of Tangior, OK.
Maria married her sweetheart, Sam A. Feil on December 21, 1939 in Shattuck, OK. They were blessed with three children, Vernon Samuel, Emmit Lee, and Jeannetta Marie. They made their home on the farm southeast of Fargo. Maria was blessed to be a homemaker and loved caring for her family and helping Sam with the day to day operations of the farm. She enjoyed working and being outdoors.
Maria attended the Evangelical and Congregational Churches southeast of Fargo and then the United Methodist Church in Fargo.
Maria was preceded in death by her parents, Fred and Rosa Fritzler, husband Sam A. Feil in 1992, brother Herman Fritzler and daughter-in-law, Judy Feil.
Survivors include, two sons, Vernon Feil of Andover, KS and Emmit Feil and wife Norma of Fargo, OK; daughter Jeannetta Walker and husband Billie of Fargo, OK; 5 siblings, Lydia Faust of Fargo, OK, Freda Deal of Shattuck, OK, Alex Fritzler and wife Evelyn of Fargo, OK, Alma Thompson of Canadian, TX, and Wanda Stricker of Woodward, OK; 6 grandchildren, Jeff Feil, Stacy Feil, Cameron Feil, Clifton Walker, Leanna Mahaffey and Justin Walker; 9 great-grandchildren, Tyler Mahaffey, Tayla Maheffey, Willie Walker, Emily Feil, Jullian Walker, Kaydence Walker, Jonathon, Ryan, and Logan Feil; 1 great great-grandchild, Trenton Feil; other family and a host of friends.
