Marilyn Ann (Pummel) Ball was born April 14, 1947 in Woodward, Oklahoma to Wayne and Evelyn Pummel. She passed from this life on May 17, 2010 at the age of 63. Marilyn grew up and was raised in the Woodward area. She attended and graduated from Woodward Schools. She was united in marriage to John Ball on January 9, 1965 at the Bible Baptist Church in Woodward. To this union they were blessed with three children, Jonna, Michael, and Mark.
They lived near the Woodward area before settling on the family farm east of Sharon, Oklahoma in 1970. They have resided here since that time. Marilyn worked right along side the entire family with farming and raising cattle. She held various other jobs throughout the years to make ends meet for her family. In addition to her duties of wife, mother, and grandmother, she spent countless hours driving tractors, trucks, and swathing hay. She had a talent for preparing three course meals during harvest time while she worked right along side the crew of family and friends.
Marilyn was a long time member of the Bible Baptist Church in Woodward and the First Baptist Church in Sharon, Oklahoma. She had a passion for being involved with her church. Marilyn was a wonderful wife, mother, grandmother, and friend. She loved cooking, telling stories, and anything that had to do with her family and friends.
She is survived by her husband, John Ball of Sharon, three children, Jonna Schmidt and husband Mike of Sharon, Michael Ball and wife Diana of Woodward, Mark Ball and wife Shannon of Sharon, seven grandchildren, Kristen Schmidt, Kara Schmidt, Katie Schmidt, Kelsey Yarbrough, Haley Yarbrough, Chandra Stoll, Garrett Ball; six brothers and sisters, Arleta Watson of Woodward, Veetrice Campbell and husband Wayne of Woodward, Waynona Covalt and husband Delbert of Woodward, Gary Pummel and wife Arleta of Sharon, Adeline Eaves and husband Larry of Woodward, Eldon Pummel and wife Karla of Woodward; numerous other relatives and countless good friends.
She was preceded in death by her father, Wayne Pummel on January 18, 2006 and her mother, Evelyn Pummel on January 17, 2009.
