Mark Daniel Lipham passed from this earth on December 7, 2025, with his wife Kari Lipham and granddaughter Alex M. Stern, and many family members unexpectantly. Mark was born in Clinton, Oklahoma on August 27, 1961, to Donald Lipham and Dicksie Needy. He attended school in Clinton until the 10th grade. Mark immediately went into oilfield work for Granthem Drilling from 1984 to 1987 as a driller and then for Milpark Drilling from 1987 to 1990. From there he went to Mid-Continent Completion in 1990 working with them until 2000 when they sold to New Park Drilling.

In the summer of 1997, Mark met his wife to be, Kari Stern. Although she had no plans of marriage, he was persistent for several years, anyone who knew Mark knew that he was not going to take no for an answer.

He moved from Burns Flat, switched jobs from New Park Drilling to Hamm Phillips in Camargo to be close to Kari, and he persuaded her to marry him. In 2000, on New Year's Day, he proposed again, and she accepted and they were married on August 3, 2000, in Honolulu, Hawaii. They have resided at their home in Vici for over 25 years.

Mark continued to work in the oilfield and became a disposal manager for Northwest Oklahoma for several different counties until health problems in 2020 forced him into retirement. He was on disability with chronic obstruction pulmonary disease (COPD).

Outside of work, Mark loved hunting, fishing, and hot rods. He especially loved gatherings with friends and family, and barbequing.

He never knew a stranger and would approach anyone and have a conversation. If you needed help, he was always there no matter how far away you were. He was always the life of any gathering, and he had no filters, saying what he wanted when he wanted. He loved his granddaughter Alex M. Stern, she was his pride and joy. He will be remembered by all that knew him as always louder than everyone, entertaining, funny, onery, and with no filter. "That's Mark," is what we would say.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Dicksie Ann Needy and Donald O'Neal Lipham; son, Jeremiah Stern; and brother, Gary Lipham.

He is survived by his beloved wife, Kari Stern Lipham; son, Jedediah Daniel Stern and wife Mandi and their son Zack of Columbia, South Carolina; son Nicolas Adam Lipham of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma; brother, Stan Lipham and Jimmi of Canton, Oklahoma; brother, David Lipham and wife Lois of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma; granddaughter, Alex Marie Stern of Vici, Oklahoma; niece Amanda Pope; great-nieces Karliee and Kasidee Pope; brother-in-law, Doug DeWitt of Loveland, Colorado; sister-in-law, June Kittler of Vici, Oklahoma; as well as several nieces and nephews; and a host of loved ones and friends.
