Mary Lou Cooper-Gorden passed peacefully from this life at her home on July 30, 2012 at the age of 73. Mary was born June 21, 1939 in Harper, West Virginia to Fred and Velma Daniels. The family also lived for a time in Beckley, West Virginia as well.
Mary Lou was united in marriage to Herman Cooper and their family quickly blossomed with the birth of their five children; Daniel Wayne, Kimberly Ann, Patricia Lynn, William Roy and James Jerald. Mary Lou was a loving mother and enjoyed taking care of her family.
Mary Lou lived for a time in Bendersville and Biglerville Pennsylvania. She later lived in Adams, Oklahoma before moving to Woodward where she lived at the time of her passing.
In addition to being a devoted mother Mary Lou also worked as a Certified Nurses Aide and most recently as a Domestic Crisis Counselor.
She enjoyed spending time in her garden, but most especially loved spending time with her grandchildren.
She was a faithful member of the Tabernacle Baptist Church in Guymon, Oklahoma for a number of years.
Mary Lou became Mrs. Gene Gorden in 1992.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Gene; son, Daniel Wayne; parents, Fred and Velma Daniels; sisters, Barbara Stover and Judith Radcliff. Loved ones remaining to cherish her memory are children, Kimberly Heimbecker, Patricia Crow, William Cooper and James Cooper; sisters, Margaret Daniels, Brenda Lawson, Patricia Smith, Nancy Harris, and Linda Carpenter; brothers, Charles Daniels, James Daniels, Jesse Daniels, Carlos Daniels, Bruce Daniels and Timothy Daniels; ten grandchildren, nine great-grandchildren, many nieces, nephews and a lifetime of friends.
