Mary Katherine Robertson was born June 6, 1954 in Woodward, Oklahoma to Estle and Minnie Blanche (Balfour) Derrick. She passed from this life at her home in Woodward on April 11, 2011 at the age of 56.

Mary grew up in Woodward and attended Woodward Public Schools through her junior year. She then worked toward and received her GED.

Mary was united in marriage to Joe Wayne Robertson in Woodward, Oklahoma. Mary's son, Shawn Jacob, from her first marriage and the adoption of their daughter, Katherine Fae, completed the family. Although the couple's marriage ended in divorce in 1997, Mary and Joe remained close friends.

Mary enjoyed gardening and working as a cook at various restaurants. It was said that she made the best hot rolls and if you ever ate one, you'd never forget it. Mary lived a short time in Portland, Oregon from 200-2002. She then returned home to Woodward, Oklahoma.

Mary accepted Jesus Christ as her Lord and Savior and was baptized at the age of 55. She was a member of the Seventh Day Adventist Church in Woodward, Oklahoma.

Mary was preceded in death by her parents, Estle and Blanche Derrick; sisters, Ina Parker and Lara Derrick and grandson, Christopher Goad.

Those left to cherish her memory are her daughter, Katherine Robertson of Woodward, Oklahoma; son, Shawn Gieswien of Woodward, Oklahoma; sister, Wanna Braudrick; brothers, Joe Maddox and Donny Maddox; grandsons, Bobby Gieswien and Bentley Goad; granddaughter, McKenzie Goad; niece, Donna Parker; cousin, Teresa Noreuil; ex-husband, Joe Robertson, other family and many dear friends.
