Mary Ann Spady, 85 year old resident of Shattuck, OK, passed from this life on June 28, 2021.  She was born August 20, 1935, to Lloyd and Blossom (Kearns) Starbuck and grew up on the family farm.  She attended grade school and high school in the Shattuck Public Schools   graduating with the class of 1953. She was married to William Harvey Kies that year and they were the parents of a daughter, Patricia and three sons, Harvey, Donald and David.

In 1963, Mary was united in marriage to Levene Spady and they established a home in Shattuck. Their union was blessed with three sons, Kenneth, Richard, and Terry.  Mary was a homemaker and enjoyed caring for her family, tending her flowers and she had a special fondness for cats.

Mary is preceded in death by her parents Lloyd and Blossom Starbuck, son David Kies, granddaughter Shelly Kies, grandson Tyler Spady, grandson Caleb Spady, and brother Tommy Starbuck.

She is survived by her children Kenneth Spady and wife Kim of Hinton, OK, Richard Spady and wife Ginger of Hammon, OK, and Terry Spady and wife Leslie of Laverne, OK; Patricia Budig and husband David of Lewis, KS;  Harvey Kies of Oklahoma City, OK and Donald Kies and wife Lorna of Noble, OK; daughter-in-law Cindy Kies of Shattuck, OK; 17 grandchildren, 22 great grandchildren, other relatives and a host of friends.
