Melanie Lynn (Booth) Guy, daughter of Bert Booth and Marilyn Kay Hopkins was born in Oklahoma City, OK. on August 20, 1972.  She passed from this life January 17, 2022 at her home in Vici, OK. at the age of 49 years, 4 months and 28 days.  Melanie grew up in the Oklahoma City and Dallas, TX. areas and as a youngster she loved riding bicycles with her dad.  She attended Nimitz Schools in Irving, TX. and following high school she attended two years at the University of Oklahoma.

On May 16, 1998 Melanie married Christen Guy in Oklahoma City, OK.  The couple lived in Oklahoma City before moving to Vici, OK.  Melanie worked for Midland Mortgage in Oklahoma City as a customer service representative.  She took her job very seriously and received several financial bonuses and was promoted to a trainer for other employees.

Melanie was baptized at the age of 16, she was a member and attended services at the Vici Church of Christ.  The hobbies she enjoyed most were reading and baking.  Most of all she loved spending time with her family, including the family pet, Jake.

She is preceded in death by her mother, Marilyn Hopkins and a sister Jody Booth.

Those left to cherish her memory are her husband, Christen Guy, her father Bert Booth, her father and mother in law Rodney and Twylah Guy.  Three sister in laws, many aunts and uncles, numerous nieces and nephews, other relatives and friends.
