Michael Ray Hoskins was born August 2, 1963 in Cheyenne, Oklahoma to Raymond and Shirley Hasley Hoskins. He passed from this life Thursday, October 29, 2009 at the age of 46.

Mike grew up in the Arnett area graduating from Arnett High School with the class of 1982. In his youth, he rode bulls and raced cars.

Mike was blessed with three children from his first marriage, Whitney Hoskins Lanier, Chasney Lynne, and Michael Zane.

Mike was united in marriage to Lisa Dawn Risley January 20, 1997 in Las Vegas, Nevada. The couple made their home in Arnett, Oklahoma.

Mike worked as a mechanic for Badger Pressure Control and has been in the oilfield industry for 28 years. He has also been a dedicated member of the Harmon Volunteer Fire Department for the past seven years.

Mike loved to hunt, fish, and spend time doing anything outdoors. He was a member of the Church of the Outdoors. He was always under the hood of a vehicle or tinkering with something as he liked to fix and build things. He also loved to "talk philosophy" with numerous friends.

Mike always loved spending time with his children. In recent years, his favorite pastime has been spending time with his wife Lisa and his grandchildren. He thoroughly enjoyed telling his family tall tales and getting them to believe him.

Mike is survived by his wife, Lisa Hoskins of Harmon, Oklahoma, daughters Whitney Hoskins Lanier and husband Chris of Arnett, Oklahoma and Chasney Hoskins of Arnett, Oklahoma, son Michael Zane Hoskins of Farmington, New Mexico, parents Raymond and Shirley Hoskins of Arnett, Oklahoma, sister Lynee Dailey Innis and husband Mike of Woodward, Oklahoma, brothers Ronnie Hoskins and wife Sandy of Yukon, Oklahoma and Joe Don Hoskins and wife Tasha of Arnett, Oklahoma, granddaughter Jocelyn Paige Lanier of Arnett, Oklahoma, grandson Micah Ray Lanier of Arnett, Oklahoma, aunts Daphine Booth of Arnett, Oklahoma and Helen Strever of Bella Vista, Arkansas, uncle Donny Hoskins of Keene, Texas, four nieces, seven nephews, other relatives and many dear friends.
