Mildred Beatrice Koop Miller was born September 20, 1926, in Wichita, Kansas to Sam and Helen Koop. Mildred grew up in Cordell, Oklahoma. She was united in marriage to Vernon Leroy Miller on January 20, 1948. They were blessed with six children, Lela, Dianna, Sam, Euteva, Rick, and Brenda. They made their home in Lubbock, Texas until 1967 when they moved to Arnett, Oklahoma. They lived in Arnett for approximately 2 years and then returned to Lubbock, Texas. There Mildred was a homemaker until she went to work for Anthony's. She retired in 1992 and enjoyed spending time with her children, grandchildren, and great- grandchildren. She was a member of the Community Christian Church in Lubbock. Then in 2009, she moved to Vici, Oklahoma and that is where she resided until her passing on March 21, 2013, when she moved on to her heavenly home with her Lord and Savior.
She is preceded in death by her parents, eleven siblings, her husband Vernon Miller and her grandson Gentry Ryan Sherrill. Those left to mourn her passing are daughters Lela Hicks and husband Rod, Dianna Sherrill and husband Randy, Sam Miller and wife Bendy, Euteva Lammons and husband Roy, Rick Miller and wife Kristi, and Brenda Rabel and husband Lee; two step children, Gail Prysiazry and Gary Miller and wife Jeanne; three sisters Alva Maddox, Margie Wilson, and Della Manley Benge; thirteen grandchildren; fifteen great-grandchildren; other relatives and friends.
