Mitchell Alan Wilcox, born to William and Shirley Wilcox in El Paso, Texas on May 13th, 1958. Mitch joined many friends and family members in heaven on the afternoon of January 15th, 2025.
Mitch graduated from high school in Denver, Co. in 1976 before joining the Marines later that year. While in the Marines, Mitch received one award, The Meritorious Mast, as well as one Badge, The Expert Rifle Badge.
During his life he held many positions after his service, most notably a carpenter. On January 7th, 2007, he joined hands in marriage with Rosella May Peacock-Wilcox in Salida, Co. and was happily married until the day he passed.
He is preceded in death by his parents and his two stepdaughters Katrina Whitson and Raelene Hamaker. He is survived by his wife Rosella May Peacock-Wilcox, his children; James Wilcox, Shane Wilcox, and Nina P. Wilcox, his stepchildren; Julia L Whitson, Darren A Watkins, and Jessie J Maphet; his sister Machille Parker and her husband Rich; brother-in-law James Peacock and wife Carol. Mitch was also blessed in life with 6 grandchildren; 8 step grandchildren; 28 step great grandchildren; and 1 step great-great grandchild along with numerous other family and friends. Before his passing he attended the Methodist Church in Higgins, Tx.
