Ramona "Mona" Lee (Bentley) Burleson, daughter of Jay and Evelyn (Taylor) Bentley was born January 25, 1945 in Leedey, OK.  She passed from this life in Elk City, OK. on February 8, 2022, two weeks after her 77 ^th birthday.  Mona grew up in the Leedey area and was baptized at an early age at the Red Star Church.  Her elementary school years were spent in the Red Star and Liberty Center schools and she completed her education by graduating from Leedey High School.

On June 30, 2007 Mona was united in marriage to Mark Burleson at Weleetka, OK. They established their home in the community of Elk City.  Along with being a wife and a homemaker, Mona was the proud mother of five children, four sons, Todd, Russell, Alan and Jaxx and one daughter, Jennifer.  She also worked a number of years outside the home at Southwestern Oklahoma State University in Weatherford, OK.

She enjoyed playing marbles and cards, especially solitaire. Her greatest enjoyment was spending time with her family and the time they spent together was very important to her.  Mona was a loving wife, mother and grandmother that will be greatly missed by all who knew her.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Jay and Evelyn Bentley and her siblings, Paul Bentley, Larry Bentley and Dora Williamson and other loved ones.

Her memory will be cherished by her husband, Mark Burleson of Elk City, OK., her children, Todd Ray Gastineau and partner Bobbie Ramsey of Carnegie, OK., Russell Lynn Gastineau and his wife Joyce of Hydro, OK., Jennifer Keiseswetter of Ponca City, OK., Alan Burleson of Ponca City, OK. and Jaxx Burleson of Merritt, OK.  Fourteen grandchildren, Jackie Marie Vera, Justin and Raymond Gastineau, Harley and TeeJay Gastineau, Waylan, Zack and Sarah Kieseswetter, Arik, Ashlynne and Alexis Burleson, Adrianne and Christopher Burleson and Jordan Hooks. One sister-in-law Judy Bentley and one brother-in-law Kenny Williamson.  Ten great grand children, numerous nieces and nephews, aunts, other relatives and many friends.
