82 year old Vici resident, Nancy Elizabeth Hoover Cutsinger (mom, grandma, great grandma) a fine lady with many names was born December 18, 1927 in Pueblo, Colorado to Johnny Arthur and Gracie Pearl (Ramsey) Hoover. She was the youngest of six children. Mrs. Cutsinger passed from this life on November 10, 2010 at the Vici Nursing Home Vici, Oklahoma.

Nancy attended Pueblo Public School graduating in 1945. She was united in marriage to Roy Jr Cutsinger on January 15, 1947. They were blessed with six children: Roy, Sarah, Dennis, Sherry, Orval, and Gena. The family made their home in Vici, Oklahoma. Nancy was a member of the Camp Creek Church of the Nazarene where she served as church treasurer for several years and attended regularly until failing health made it impossible for her to live on the farm. She moved to the manor apartments in Vici and in June of 2007 moved to the Vici Nursing Home.

Nancy was a true homemaker, time with family was very important. She would gather them around the organ at Christmas time playing and singing carols. She raised baby chickens to help provide her family with winter meals. Her children continued to be a very important part of her life. She kept constant contact with all of them. She spent lots of hours rocking grandchildren. She made beaded calendars for the kids and grandkids for many years and also enjoyed doing crossword puzzles, cross-stitch and crocheting. Until ill health took over, the family made trips to Colorado every year to see her brothers and sisters. She spent hours with her kids playing outside, in whatever activity they were doing at the time. The grandkids always wanted Grandma's fried chicken, biscuits and easy gravy and homemade angel food cake. Her house was always full of kids and grandkids.

Nancy was preceded in death by her parents, Johnny and Gracie Hoover, husband Roy Jr, Cutsinger, in-laws, Roy and Stella Cutsinger, sisters, Florence, Venitta, Lila, and Vivian, brother, Pleas Hoover, daughter, Gena Turner, son-in-law, Gus McGuire, and grandchildren, Justin and Jennifer Herring. She is survived by her children, Roy Cutsinger and wife Patsy of LaVernia, Texas, Sarah Herring and husband Doug of Mutual, Oklahoma, Dennis Cutsinger and wife Lelia of Vici, Oklahoma, Sherry Garbizo and husband Steve of Vici, Oklahoma and Orval Cutsinger and wife Rosetta of Vici, Oklahoma; 20 grandchildren, 33 great-grandchildren with one on the way, and 3 great-great grandchildren; brother-in-law, Robert Shrewsbury; several nieces, nephews, other family and a host of friends.
