Nancy JoAnn Hunter 90, went to be with the Lord and Savior on Sunday, November 16th, 2025. Nancy was born December 25, 1934, in Harmon, OK to John Edwin "Bud" & Hattie Estella Huen. She married the love of her life, Leland Farrel Hunter January 13, 1951. They celebrated 74 wonderful years of marriage. As a couple they lived life to the fullest and accomplished many achievements including the Excellence in Grazing Award from the Society of Range Management.

Nancy attended Parkman School until the 8th grade, then Arnett High School through 10th grade. She went on to obtain a License Practical Nursing degree through the Woodward hospital program. Where she spent many years caring for patients in the Newman Memorial Hospital and was awarded Nurse of the Year as well as working at the Vici Nursing Home.

Nancy was a dedicated and active member of the Harmon Church of the Nazarene, if the doors were open, she would be there. She had such a huge heart for her community. She was known for her chocolate sheet cake and chicken and noodles that everyone looked for at any gathering. She was baptized in November of 1956 at the Fargo Nazarene Church.

Nancy loved to travel all over with her husband Leland and catch a dance or two along the way. You could find her in just about any gym around watching High School basketball, whether it be watching her own or just for the love of the game, Nancy didn't miss a small school state basketball tournament. She was involved in anything her family loved, you would catch her in the stands cheering loud and proud whether it be a rodeo arena, ball field or stock shows.

She was preceded in death by her parents John and Hattie Huen and daughter-in-law Cynthia Lee Hunter.

Survivors include husband Leland Hunter of the home. Children Jerry and wife Sandy Hunter (Harmon, OK), Richard "Don" Hunter (Arnett, OK), and Sherry LeAnn Chambers (Bethany, OK). Brother Larry and Beverly Huen (Portland, OR). Grandchildren Tammy and husband Justin McCoy (Harmon, OK), Cody Chambers (Ellicott, CO), Kelly and wife Brandy Hunter (Mutual, OK), Rowdy Chambers (Cheyenne, OK) Cassie and husband Scott Cramer (Yukon, OK), Jeannie and husband Eric Strick (Arnett, OK). Great grandchildren Hunter and wife Cheyenne Munsell, Taylor Munsell, Faith and husband Jorge Loera, Lindy Munsell, Samantha and husband Matthew Pike, Jaide and husband Colby Pettus, Jaron Hunter and fiancé Katelynn, Michael Chambers, Jacob Hunter, Callie Cramer, Bayne Strick, Alexandra Strick, Brynna Cramer. Great-great- grandchildren Krete Munsell, Briggs Munsell and one on the way.

She will be greatly missed by a host of family, nieces, nephews, and all who knew her.
