Obituary

The Neal (Tex) Black Story; Neal Jay Black of Ft. Collins, Colorado passed away on July 26, 2015 at the Rehabilitation and Nursing Center of The Rockies. Neal was born December 27, 1950 in Shattuck, OK. He was the first child born to Georgia (Mackey) and Lowell W. Black and the first grandchild of Della and George Mackey of Arnett.

When Neal was two years old, the family moved to Amarillo Texas, where later he was given the nickname Tex because of his love for Texas. After high school graduation, Neil joined the US Marine Corp where he served part of his military career in the Philippines. After honorably serving in the marines, Neal worked in Sales and Advertisement and retired in Fort Collins, Colorado. Neal loved music, books, drama, and the gun collection he and his father Pete collected. Neal was a loving brother and friend with special regard for his grandmother Della Mackey and regarded her as one of God's most perfect women.

Neal was preceded in death by his sister Debra Lyn (Black) Ebenkamp; brother Jim Don Black; grandparents Della and George Mackey, O.A. and Myrtle Black.

Left to carry on Neal's legacy are his mother and father Lowell W. and Georgia Black; brother-in-law Mickey Ebenkamp and wife Kayla; nephew Paul Ebenkamp; niece Alexandra Ebenkamp; aunt Wanda Black; uncle Wayne and aunt Judy Mackey; and many cousins and friends.
