Newell Raymond "Ray" Woodward was born on July 8, 1961 in Glendale, Arizona to father John Alden Woodward and mother Cosuelo Librada Monje. Ray grew up in Tubac, Arizona, and would attend and graduate school at Sahuarita, Arizona. Ray would go on to attend ABC Mechanical School in Tucson, Arizona. On October 10, 1980, Ray would marry Shirley Ann Christopher in Tuscon, and to this union was born a daughter, Raeann, and a son, Daniel. On July 4, 2017, Ray married Lorraine Numeyer in Anaheim Hills, California.
Ray worked in packaging sales, as well as serving as an engineering specialist. Ray had several hobbies, including cycling, hiking, golf, and surfing, but a passion of his was martial arts, in particular Brazilian Jujitsu, having attained a Lavender Belt.
Ray passed from this life on February 18, 2021 in Placentia, California. Preceding him in death are his father, Joh Alden Woodward, nephew Micheal Neal Dunklee, and nephew John Leopoldo Woodward.
Ray is survived by his wife Lorraine Woodward of Anaheim Hills, California; mother Consuelo Librada Monje of Tucson, Arizona; daughter Raeann Phillips and husband Wade of Mutual, Oklahoma; son Daniel Aldon Woodward and wife Chasity of Woodward, Oklahoma; sister Maria Reed and husband Tony of Mesa, Arizona; sister Irma Sifuentes and husband Frank of Tucson; sister Cheryl Randall and husband Josea of Tucson; brother John Woodward and wife Susie of Tucson; step-brother Mike Alden Woodward; step-brother James Alden Woodward; 11 grandchildren; many nieces, nephews and a host of friends.
