Nina Loree (Fitz) Fagala

Nina Loree (Fitz) Fagala was born October 9, 1940 in Higgins, Texas to Dale & Flossie (Kernes) Fitz. She went peacefully to be with her Lord and Savior on April 1, 2026 at her home in Gage, Oklahoma at the age of 85 yrs 5 months and 23 days old.

Nina was raised on the family farm in southwest Ellis County and attended Bishop School until high school. The family moved to Satanta, KS where she graduated in 1958. She then moved back to the family farm and enjoyed raising cattle until she met Dee.

On October 20, 1974 Nina married Daryel Dee Fagala in Shattuck. They made their home in Tyrone and in 1977, their daughter, LaDena, was born. Nina was baptized into the First Baptist church of Tyrone in May of 1989. After Dee retired in 1992, they moved the family to their present home south of Gage. Nina and Dee attended the Gage First Baptist Church and enjoyed helping with bible school and dinners at the church.

Nina loved children, especially babies and was happiest when she could be holding and caring for her grandchildren and great grandchildren. She loved working outside with her flowers and watching the hummingbirds eat at her feeders. Skip Bo was her favorite game and she was always ready to play and usually would win. She didn't believe it but she was an excellent cook and made many delicious meals for family and friends. Her chocolate cheese crunch and carrot cake were favorite desserts that she lovingly prepared for special occasions.

Nina was preceded in death by her parents, husband, two brothers, two sisters, and one grandson James Leland McLain.

Nina is survived by her daughter, LaDena McLain and husband, Ronn, of Sharon. Grand children Sayb Klaus and wife, Morgan, daughter Winnie of Manhattan, KS, Mia McCoy and husband, Dalton, daughters Ellie, Kinsley, and son Rowen of Woodward, OK, Lee McLain of Sharon, OK, Linda Lunsford and husband, Jerry, of Guymon, Rhonda Atkins and husband, Dennis, of Hooker, Wayne Fagala and wife, Kathy, of Ardmore; 14 grandchildren: Jerelyn Lunsford Atchison (Chuck), Dr. Jerod Lunsford (Alison), Dr. Gregory Atkins (Jessica), William Atkins, Jessica Fagala Kowalchuk (Kerzdenn), Whitney Fagala Ground (Jack, deceased), Adam Fagala (Sebina), Daniel Fagala, David Fagala, Mark Fagala (Katelyn), Gloria Fagala Tindal (Darrell); 18 great grandchildren; one brother-in-law, Lyle Fagala; and a host of other relatives and friends.
