Norene Lea (McCartor) Lucas passed from this life December 2, 2022 in Shattuck, OK. at the age of 68 years, 11 months and 11 days.  She was the daughter of Jack Ellsworth McCartor and Norma Lea (Wiedenkofer) McCartor and was born December 22, 1953 in Shattuck, OK.  Norene grew up on the family farm near Arnett, OK. with her brother Mac and her school days were spent in the Arnett Public Schools.  She was a member of the graduating class of 1972 and following graduation she attended Woodward Beauty College. She received her Cosmetology license and began a thirty-eight year career as a beautician at LaPetite Beauty Salon.  On November 24, 1976 Norene was united in marriage to Rodney Ray Lucas at the Church of the Nazarene in Harmon, OK.  A daughter Nacrista Lea was born to their union.  Their time together was short lived as Rodney lost his life in an accident in 1980.  Norene was united in marriage to Kerry James Stewart in Hinton, OK. in 1981 and a son, William James was born to their union.  Her special interest of raising dogs at her Puppyland Kennels was a business Norene enjoyed for thirty years.

She is preceded in death by her father Jack McCartor, her first husband Rodney Lucas, a grandson Hayden Stewart and other loved ones.

Norene is survived by her mother Norma Lea McCartor; her daughter Nacrista and her husband Kyle Cooley; her son William Stewart; her brother Mac McCartor and his wife Stacy and her long time companion Ronald Lynn Seal.  Her grandchildren Nikole King and husband Tom, Toy Stewart and Luchon Stewart, two nephews, other family and friends
