Norma Lea McCartor, a beloved resident of Arnett, Oklahoma, passed away peacefully on May 18, 2023, at the age of 92. She was born on July 1, 1930, on the family farm south of Podunk, Oklahoma, to Ora and Georgia (Hall) Wiedenkofer. Norma's early years were spent attending a grade school in a one-room schoolhouse near her home, and she later graduated from Arnett Public Schools.

On November 15, 1950, Norma married the love of her life, Jack McCartor, in Arnett, Oklahoma. They initially resided west of Arnett before eventually settling within the city limits. Norma and Jack were blessed with two children Mac and Norene.

Norma devoted her life to being a caring homemaker and also worked as a designer for Bar S. Monogram. One of her greatest passions was planting and tending to her beautiful flowerbeds, which brought her immense joy and satisfaction.

Norma was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Jack, parents, her beloved daughter Norene Lucas, her grandson Nevin McCartor, and her great-grandson Hayden Stewart.

She is survived by her son Mac MaCartor and wife Stacy of Arnett, OK; grandchildren Nacrista Cooley and Kyle, Will Stewart, J.B. McCartor and Tabitha, Marc McCartor and Taylor; seven great grandchildren, Nikole King and Tom, Lushon and Toy Stewart, Halie, Landon and Rett McCartor, Mackenzie McCartor, Elliott McCartor, and Calvin McCartor; one great-great granddaughter, Emma; one niece, three nephews, and a host of other relatives and friends.
