Pamela Sue Garza

Pamela Sue (Menser) Garza, 67, of Higgins, Texas, passed away peacefully on August 3, 2026. Pam was born on October 24, 1958, in Walnut Ridge, Arkansas, to Hilton Leon and Clara Bell (Fletcher) Menser.

Pam grew up in Higgins, Texas, where she attended school from kindergarten through 12th grade. After graduating high school, she attended Amarillo College, where she pursued her interest in photography. While in college, Pam also enjoyed playing softball and thrived in the softball league as a shortstop.

In 1983, Pam married Pilar Pete Garza in Amarillo, Texas. Together they were blessed with one son, Tanner Pilar Garza. Pam made her home in Amarillo until 1998, when she returned to Higgins with her son. Higgins remained her home and the place where she built a life filled with family, friends, and many things she loved.

Pam retired from Albertson’s in 1997 after 20 years with the company. She had many interests and hobbies that brought her joy. She loved photography and gardening, taking great pride in tending to her garden and watching it grow larger each year. In her spare time, she could often be found searching for unique rocks to add to her home and garden. Pam was also a collector of ceramic, glass, and porcelain collectibles and décor, taking great care in turning her house into a home filled with things she loved.

Pam was preceded in death by her parents, Hilton Leon and Clara Bell Menser.

Those left to cherish Pam’s memory include her son, Tanner Garza and wife Lexi, and their children, Aidyn, Zak, Romi, Roxi, and Ysidro Garza, all of Higgins, Texas; her brother, Phillip Menser and wife Pam of Wheeler, Texas; and her nieces, Shantill Davis and husband Jason and their children, Dakota, Dalaney, Dalton Davis and wife Sativa and their son Carter Davis, Elam, Camden, and Cohen Davis, all of Shamrock, Texas; and Kassi Marran of Shamrock, Texas, and her daughters, Kailynn Ramas of Burkburnett, Texas, and Keili Ramas of Amarillo, Texas. She also leaves behind other extended family members and many friends who will forever cherish her memory.

Pam will be remembered for the home she lovingly created, the gardens she nurtured, the treasures she collected, and most of all, the love she shared with her family and friends. Her memory will live on through the many lives she touched and the family she loved so dearly.
