Obituary

Patricia Marrie Brosh, beloved mother, grandmother, and friend, passed from

this life on March 31, 2024, at the age of 72. She was born on September 10, 1951, to Louis Lloyd and Alberta "Bert" Mae (Bridgeman) in Shattuck, Oklahoma.

A member of the Seventh-Day Adventist Church, Pat was baptized in this faith.

Pat's educational journey began at the Seventh Day Adventist School from 1958-1965. She graduated from High School in Shattuck, graduating Class of 1969.

In Shattuck, Oklahoma, Pat married Joe Brosh and together they embarked on

a journey that took them through Spearman, Texas, Fairview, Oklahoma, and back to Shattuck. To their union, three children were born: Shanna, Jolisa, and Joe Louis.

At the age of 44, Pat continued her education at Woodward High Plains Technology Center from August 1994 to June 1995 with her Practical Nursing degree then obtaining her LPN license. She later moved to Dodge City, Kansas and pursued her RN degree at Dodge City Community College, while working at the Manor of the Plains Nursing Center.

Pat's life was defined by her love and devotion to the people around her. She found great joy in supporting her grandchildren, attending their ball games, plays, and other activities and functions. She enjoyed sitting on her front porch, waving and saying hello to those who drove or walked by and visiting when they stopped for a moment.  She was willing to get into anything the grandkids or other little friends needed help with, fundraisers, working with the donkeys, horses or goats (just not the chickens). She played board games, grocery store or anything the kids wanted her to do with them. She was funny and ornery and so very kind. She would drive friends and family anywhere they needed to go.  Her warm and welcoming spirit touched the lives of many.

Pat was a diligent and caring nurse. She had such compassion for all of her patients. She spent the majority of her career at Shattuck Nursing Center after some time at Newman Memorial Hospital. She encouraged many friends and co-workers to go into nursing and continue their education in the field. She gained many friends who felt like family over her 28 years of experience.

Patricia was preceded in death by her husband, Glenn Mayhew, her son Joseph Louis Brosh, her parents, Louis and Bert, and her brother, Darwin Rauh. She is survived by her daughters, Shanna and Lance Koehn of Broken Arrow, Jolisa and Jason Swanson of Shattuck, her stepdaughter, Melodie and Quinten Callaway of Shattuck, her granddaughters, Amberly Koehn, Erringten Koehn, Adison Swanson, Emily Swanson, Elizabeth Swanson, Candace and Ashley Callaway, her great-grandson, Hezekyah Koehn-Kirby, her aunts, Shirley Roberts and Barbara Janney, numerous nieces, nephews, step-grandchildren and dear friends.

In celebrating the life of Patricia Marrie Brosh, we remember her kindness, her unwavering love for her family, and the indelible mark she left on all who knew

her. She will be deeply missed and fondly remembered by all whose lives she touched.
