Obituary

Patsy Marie Eaves was born on January 16, 1933 in O'Donnell, Texas to Homer and Farris (Henderson) Durham. Pat grew up in O'Donnell where she attended both elementary and high school and was a member of the Nazarene Church. On February 19, 1950, Patsy was married to Lloyd Eaves in Portales, New Mexico. To this marriage three daughters were born, Vickie Geraldine, Glenna Marie and Debra Sue. After Lloyd and Pat were married they resided in Eaves City, Oklahoma; Homer, Oklahoma; Hennipen, Oklahoma; Davis, Oklahoma; San Jose, California; and finally made their home in Arnett, Oklahoma, where they lived for forty-four years. Pat passed away on February 16, 2010 in the Shattuck Nursing Center at the age of 77.

Pat worked as a secretary before opening a café in Arnett. She and Lloyd also owned and operated Lloyd's Welding Service and Motel, and Pat's Pueblo. Pat enjoyed making porcelain dolls, ceramics, sewing, cooking, working outside in her yard, and collecting antiques; however, her "special interest" was always family, especially her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Pat was a very giving person. Over the years, Lloyd and Pat opened their home to many people including family, foster children and people in need. She was always ready to help with civic, school, and church activities or any person in a time of need. Pat could always be found at any events involving her grandkids, cheering them on. She was their number one fan.

Patsy was preceded in death by her father Homer Durham, mother Farris (Henderson) Durham, daughter Vickie Craven, brothers Roger Sherman Durham and Arnold Jeral Durham, brother-in-law George Murley, sisters-in-law Loretta Witcher and Vinita McNeil and niece Amy Sheree Durham.

Pat is survived by her husband Lloyd Eaves of Arnett, Oklahoma; two daughters, Glenna and husband Al Leik of Bartlesville, Oklahoma; Debbie and husband Jimmy Collins of Arnett, Oklahoma; three grandsons, Michael and wife Rhonda Boyd of Chickasha, Oklahoma; Joey Coykendall of Tulsa, Oklahoma and Jimmy Lynn Collins of Arnett, Oklahoma; five granddaughters, Shala Boyd Flock of Brownwood, Texas; Jill Coykendall of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma; Starla Hajny of Arnett, Oklahoma; Penni Coykendall of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma; Tara and husband Bob Dobrinski of Arnett, Oklahoma; three sisters, Maxine and husband Leslie Paris of Tahoka, Texas; Betty Murley of Odessa, Texas and Francis Durham of Tahoka, Texas; two brothers David Durham and wife Roxanne of Graham, Texas; Larry and wife Karon of Wilson, Texas; brother-in-law Jimmy Glenn Eaves and wife Annette of Mendon, Louisiana; sister-in-law Mary Lou and husband Dan Gunner of Norman, Oklahoma; 11 great-grandchildren, Amanda, A.J., Layla and Taylor Boyd; Jancee, Jordyn and Dalton Flock; Garret Collins; Maeghan and Jacob Hajny; Collin Bryant; a host of nieces and nephews, other family and many dear friends.
