IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Pauline
Fahle
July 15, 1935 – September 19, 2021
Roberta Pauline (Collier) Fahle, 86, of Taloga, Oklahoma, passed away on September 19, 2021.
Pauline was born in Taloga on July 15, 1935, to Mary (Hermanski) and Eddie Samuel Collier. She earned Bachelor's and Master's degrees from Oklahoma State University, and a Juris Doctor degree from the University of Oklahoma. Passionate about education, Pauline taught public school for nearly 10 years before becoming the first female lawyer to teach at Southwestern Oklahoma State University. There, she taught business law for over 20 years. After retiring from the university, she practiced law in Taloga and served as a municipal judge in several rural towns until she was 80.
Throughout her career, Pauline received many awards and commendations, including the Oklahoma Bar Association's Outstanding Service to the Public award. She was deeply committed to serving others, conservation, and preserving history. Pauline served on numerous councils and boards to advance these causes. Additionally, she was an active member of her church and served on many mission trips to other countries.
Pauline enjoyed photography and quilting and often used these hobbies to support causes she cared about. She photographed Dewey County historic events and civic activities; cattle drives and trail rides including the Great Western Cattle Drive and the Trail of Dreams, a multi-day trail ride for children with cancer and other illnesses; and at-risk species such as the Lesser Prairie Chicken. She also donated quilts to those in need. In her free time, Pauline also loved fishing at the family farm and playing pitch with family as well as friends at Taloga Senior Citizens.
Pauline was preceded in death by her parents, her sister Shirley, and her nephew Ed. She is survived by her brother Bill, and his wife Rosa; her brother Tim Briggs; her sister Christina Gonzales; her son Rick, and his wife Brenda; her son Monte, and his wife Jeane; 5 grandchildren; and 12 great-grandchildren.
