32 year old Vici resident, Randy Michael Baumann passed from this life on November 17, 2009 after an oilfield accident in Elk City, Oklahoma. Randy was born September 7, 1977 in Oklahoma City to Terry and Esther Lynn (Wright) Baumann. Bill Upchurch became his dad when Randy was only 2.

Randy attended Vici Public Schools through elementary and high school, graduating with the class of 1996. As a youth, he was involved in Boy Scouts, Vici School Band, 4-H, and FFA. He then decided to serve his country and joined the United States Army in 1998.

Randy was a member of the First Baptist Church of Vici, Oklahoma. He accepted Jesus Christ at the young age of 13 while at Falls Creek camp.

Randy was the proud father of his two children, Caitlynn Ryann Baumann and Logan Xavier Baumann. They were the joy of his life. As quoted by his son Logan, "He was the greatest Dad in the world."

Randy was united in marriage to Ryann Clara Linsey on September 23, 2006 at Elm Grove Church, Chester, Oklahoma. They loved each other so much people always said "They're still on their honeymoon." They were inseparable and shared many great times together.

Randy worked in the oilfield for the past 13 years. In his free time he enjoyed playing Playstation 3, you tube, driving fast, drawing and comedy. He was a big movie buff. Randy had a passion for cars, especially mustangs.

Randy was known to have a very good sense of humor and a heart as big as all outdoors. He always had a smile and friendly hello to anyone he met.

Randy was preceded in death by his father Terry Baumann, grandfather Eddie Baumann, grandparents Lorene and Leon Upchurch, grandparents Leonard and Rosetta Wright, aunt Lawanna Vanderlice, uncle Larry Vanderslice, great-grandparents Rufus and Florence Bishop, great-grandmother Stella Douglas, great-grandparents Fred and Pearline Baumann, special grandparents Al and May Hendrickson and uncle Terry LaBlue. He is survived by his wife Ryann Clara Baumann of Vici, OK, daughter Caitlynn Ryann Baumann of Woodward, OK, son Logan Xavier Baumann of Vici, OK, parents Bill and Lynn Upchurch of Vici, OK, sister Torie Michelle Baumann of Moore, OK, grandmother Helen Baumann of Newalla, OK, uncle and aunt Roland and Sherri Buzbee of Newcastle, OK, uncle Leland Baumann of Oklahoma City, OK, aunts Nita LaBlue of Moore, OK and Leona Wright of Oklahoma City, OK, cousins Brandon Barber of Oklahoma City, OK, Cole Buzbee of Newcastle, OK, Kim Koehn of Moore, OK, Lynn Lee of Oklahoma City, OK, Junior Lee of Enid, OK, and Andy Lee of Oklahoma City, OK; parents-in-law Jan Gray and Scott Ferguson of Vici, OK, brothers-in-law Damon Sakowich and Morgan Sakowich both of Massachusetts, grandmother-in-law Phyllis Gray of Massachusetts, many other family and a lifetime of friends.
