Obituary

Randy Dale Burba was born on April 26, 1957 to Melvin and Margie (Helm) Burba in Pomona, CA. The Lord called him December 1, 2007 at his home near Vici, Oklahoma. Randy was at the age of 50 years, 7 months and 5 days. He was the older of two children. He attended his school years in several schools. Kindergarten through first grade he attended Mont Clair, California, second grade he attended Vici, third through fifth he attended school at Woodward, and he attended sixth through twelfth grades at Vici, where he graduated as class valedictorian in 1975. He attended one year of college at Southwestern Oklahoma State University. While attending SWOSU he worked at Wes Moss Construction and went on to work at Delhi Gas Pipeline.

Randy said he met the love of his life, Shawna Leigh Seidel, while dragging Main Street in Vici in his 1968 camero. Randy and Shawna were married on April 4, 1980 by Brother Bob McCracken at the General Assembly and Church of the Firstborn. Their first child, Jeremey Dale, was born on December 20, 1981. Their home was blessed with a second child, Ashley Nicole, on October 10, 1983. In 1985, Randy and his dad started building the family's new home, the home where they still abide. They received help from numerous family and church friends while building their home. Randy was blessed with great carpentry skills and was known for his perfectionism. He took great pride in carpentry work and did the job as though he was doing it for himself.

On October 18, 1985, Randy was baptized by Brother Benny Joe Watkins into the General Assembly and Church of the Firstborn. He was always ready and willing to go help on any church construction. He helped on the new church, remodeled bathrooms, kitchens, or whatever the need was. He cared about the brethren, and was blessed with a meek and quiet spirit. He was faithful to see the sick and to help others in financial need. Helping others and visiting the widows was very important to him. Randy was a kind and loving husband, father, and Papa. His family was very dear to him. In 1988, Shawna was afflicted and down for fourteen years. Randy cared for Shawna and stood by her side. During this time Randy started his own business, Randy Burba Construction, and also started working for the Vici Nursing Home as their maintenance man and carpenter.

Randy hobbies included reading his Bible and spending time with his grandchildren. Most of Randy's evenings were spent with his grandson Titus, who he was like a father to. Shawna always knew when Randy was home from work because Titus would look out the window and yell "Papa's truck, Papa's home!" Randy also had two precious granddaughters, Trinitee and Torren, who were always excited to see Papa or go for a ride with Papa and Gea.

Randy was preceded in death by his mother Margie Jo Burba, by one nephew Shane Kinsey, and by one Uncle Wes Moss and by a very special friend, Terry Johnson. Those he leaves behind to mourn his loss include his beloved wife Shawna, a son Jeremey Burba and wife Valery, a daughter Ashley Bland, three precious grandchildren, Trinitee and Torren Burba and Titus Bland, his father Melvin Burba, all of Vici; one sister Dawn Kinsey and husband Steve of Woodward, OK, his father and mother-in-law Eddie and Clarneta Seidel, sister-in-law Shelby Ross and husband Darren , all of Vici; sister-in-law Shanda Jean and husband Bill of Farmington, New Mexico, two nieces, six nephews, three great-nephews and one great-niece, a very special friend, David Heidlebaugh, a host of co-workers, friends, relatives, and brethren.
