Ransom "Leroy" Kestler, son of Ransom and Olive (Pierce) Kestler, was born May 25, 1928 at Arnett, OK. and passed from this life on Friday, February 9, 2018 at the Shattuck Nursing Center, Shattuck, OK. where he had been a resident for the past year and a half.

On April 20, 1947 Leroy made a profession of faith at the First Baptist Church in Shattuck, OK.  He attended school at Arnett and graduated from Arnett High School in May of 1947.  He was a  mechanic by trade and was employed by several auto dealerships over the years, including Vincent-Miller Chevrolet in Arnett for 19 years.  He also lived in Kingfisher, OK, McAllen, Tx. and Stillwater, OK.  In 1977 he moved to Oklahoma City where he was employed by Anson Oil Company as an oilfield mechanic and he later retired from National Coop Refinery Association as a production foreman.

He was a member of the Masonic lodge and a loyal supporter of the NRA, his special interests were hunting, fishing and hot air balloon festivals.

Leroy was a beloved father that taught his children to help others, enjoy nature and basic auto care.  He will be greatly missed by those that knew and loved him.

He was preceded in death by his wife of 35 years, Joyce Kestler, his parents Ransom and Olive Kestler, his brother, Harvey Kestler and one grandson, Gregory Kibbe.

Cherishing his memory are his four children, Louise and her husband Don Cochran of Burkburnett, TX., Ladena and her husband Rick Kibbe of Catoosa, OK., Elbert Kestler of Abilene, Tx., and Everett Kestler of Arnett, OK.  Nine grandchildren and twenty great grandchildren, other relatives and many friends.

The family will celebrate Leroy's life Memorial Day weekend in Arnett, OK.
