IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Ray Edward
Kearns
February 19, 1940 – November 3, 2020
Ray Kearns, 80, of Shattuck, OK, was welcomed into Heaven Tuesday, November 3, 2020 when the Lord reached out His hand for him while in Integris Bass Hospital, Enid OK; He wiped away every tear and reassured him of no more pain and no more suffering.
Ray was born February 19, 1940 to Raymond Edward Kearns and Permellia Belle Bruce in Shattuck, OK. Ray graduated from Shattuck High School where he played on the Shattuck Indians Football team – to his last day on this earth he was a proud supporter of the Shattuck Football team, if he wasn't at the game you could guarantee he was listening on the radio. He married Marsha Lea Eldredge on July 28, 1990. Ray worked in the oilfield during the oil boom and retired from being a Farmer/Rancher. He was a member of First Christian Church. He took great joy in serving others.
He was preceded in death by his parents, brother-in-law Bill Singhiser, Father-in-law Morris Willis and wife Donna and step father-in-law John Vaughan.
He is survived by his wife Marsha, a step son Brian Seely (Brigette), one sister Goldie Singhiser and a very special cousin Onlee Boswell. In addition, he leaves behind mother-in-law Theta Vaughan of Plainview, Tx. Sister-in-laws Marilyn Reed (Robbie), Melinda Rollins (Larry), and Judy Woolverton (Tony). Four grandchildren; Kevin Langlitz , Justin Langlitz, Michael (Taylor) Seely and Brandon (Ashley) Seely all of Abilene, TX. Five great-grandchildren; Lakyn, Landyn, Lyncoln, Josiah and Braxson Seely all of Abilene, Tx. Many nieces, nephews, cousins, aunts & uncles.
The family suggest memorials to First Christian Church Shattuck, OK or Oklahoma Medical Research Foundation.
Marsha would like to express her heart-filled appreciation to their nieces, nephews, family, coworkers, neighbors, Pastor & friends that so graciously provided the extra help during these last few weeks. Ray truly loved each and every one of you.
