Obituary

R ay Allen Myers, 77-year-old Woodward resident, passed away Monday, January 23, 2023, in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. Everyone is invited to attend the celebration of life service on Saturday, February 18, 2023 at the Woodward Moose Lodge at 3:00pm, with a meal and social time that evening.

Ray Allen Myers was born on November 21, 1945, in Woodward, Oklahoma, to Norma Livingston and Gene Sills. Ray was adopted by Andrew 'AJ' Myers in 1965.  He grew up and attended school in the Seiling area.  Ray married Earlena Cramer in 1974.  Ray then adopted David in 1975. The union of this marriage brought one child, Alicia, who was born in 1975.

Ray served two years in the Army.  He was a relief pumper for Marriott Contract Pumping for 4 years. He was a truck driver for Leroy's Ready Mix for 18 years.

Ray loved cooking, hunting, fishing, reading, dancing, and being involved in charitable endeavors.  He was a member of the Woodward Elks lodge for many years and a current active member of the Woodward Moose Lodge #452.

He is survived by one son, David Myers and wife Marlene of Woodward, Oklahoma; one daughter, Alicia Myers of Austin, Texas; special friends, Gary Harris and wife Carol of the home; bonus daughters, Debra Maples and husband Billy of Woodward, Oklahoma, and Christine Cifers of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma; bonus grandchildren, Calli Duble of the home, Rose Cifers of Woodward, Oklahoma, and Amy Spencer and husband Jacob of Madison, Mississippi; brother-in-law, Glen Cramer, of Chester, Oklahoma, nephew, John Cramer, wife Sara, and children of Woodward, Oklahoma; uncles, Doyle 'Buddy'  Howard and wife Paula of Seiling, Oklahoma, Larry Howard and wife Patricia of Pavillion, Wyoming; his best buds and surviving members of the 3 Amigos, Jack Pierce and wife Pam of Woodward, Oklahoma and Doyt Simmons of Woodward, Oklahoma; a host of friends throughout the Moose Fraternity; and other relatives and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Norma Smith and AJ Myers; biological father Gene Sills; and Earlena Myers.
