Obituary

Raymond Franklin Bullard was born April 28, 1936 in a half dug out in Roger Mills County near Cheyenne, Oklahoma to Orville Lloyd and Veda Violet (Hall) Bullard. He departed this life April 19, 2011 to enter his heavenly home.

Raymond attended school at Arnett and graduated from Arnett High School with the Class of 1955. He worked at a variety of occupations throughout the years including the City of Woodward Water Department and oilfield related jobs.

Through the years Raymond resided in California, Arnett, Oklahoma, Vici, Oklahoma, Woodward, Oklahoma, Elmore City, Oklahoma, Boston, Massachusetts and most recently the Dallas VA Hospital and Community Living Center in Dallas, Texas.

Raymond served his country in the United States Navy from 1963-1967. He was a 2nd Class Machinist Mate on the USS Charles S. Sperry. He also served in the Vietnam War during 1964-1965. While in the navy, his travels took him South of the Equator, across the International Date Line, North of the Arctic Circle and around the world.

Raymond accepted the Lord as his personal Savior and is now in the presence of Jesus.

Raymond was preceded in death by his wife, Shirley and parents, Orville and Veda Bullard.

Those left to cherish his memory are his daughters, Vickie Evans and husband Jim of Branson West, Missouri and Sheena Sherrill and husband Rick of Enid, Oklahoma; sister, Wilma Jean Kennedy of Vici, Oklahoma; brother, Dean Bullard of Woodward, Oklahoma; grandchildren, Chris Evans and wife Jill of Tulsa, Oklahoma; Cody Evans and wife Dara of Norman, Oklahoma; Carissa Sherrill of Enid, Oklahoma and Courtney Sherrill of Enid, Oklahoma; great-grandchildren, Alexis, Addison and Dagan Evans of Tulsa, Oklahoma; Brason and Beckam Evans of Norman, Oklahoma, several nieces and nephews, other family and many dear friends.
