Raymond Pedro Rea was born on September 14, 1950 in Bakersfield, CA to Manuel and Vicenta (Olivera) Rea. He passed from this life on December 9, 2012 at his home in Shattuck, Oklahoma at age 62. On June 5, 1969, Raymond was united in marriage to Gloria Apodaca in Sanoma County, CA. The couple celebrated the birth of their three children, Ted, Margarita and Sheila.
During his life, he and his family lived in Healdsburg, CA, Ardmore, OK and then in 2005 moved to Shattuck, OK. During his life time, Raymond was employed in the farming industry, most recently with Braums Farms in Shattuck. Raymond's interest were fishing and gardening. It was a fact that Raymond had a "green thumb" when it came to gardening. Raymond was a devoted family man and loved them dearly—especially the grandchildren.
Raymond was preceded in death by his wife Gloria, brothers Mike, Manuel Jr., Steve and Frank Rea, and his sister Josie Muro. He is survived by his children, Ted Rea of Shattuck, OK, Margarita Westfall of Salem OR, and Sheila Rea of Shattuck, OK., sisters Ruth Arizmendez of Beaverton, OR, Carmen Lopez of Santa Rosa, CA, Tonya Apodaca of Chandler, AZ, Ramona Villagomez of Windsor, CA and brother Paul Rea of Healdsburg, CA, eight grandchildren; Ashley and Andrew Jones, Theo Rea, James Westfall, Daniel Rea, Frankie Tillman, Haleigh Tillman and Cruz Rea. Raymond will be missed by his many family and friends.
