Obituary

Riley Elizabeth Bryan, daughter of Chris Bryan and Whitney (Davis) Phillips was born April 27, 2002 at Shattuck, OK. She passed from this life at Howe, OK. ten days before her 18th birthday. Her early years were spent in the Arnett, OK. and Shattuck, OK. communities. She attended elementary school at Shattuck and elementary and junior high at Arnett, OK. At the age of fifteen she moved to Howe, OK. where she was a member of the Junior Class at Howe High School. Riley was active in the Ellis County 4-H Club during her years at Arnett and served as the reporter for the FFA Chapter since her move to Howe, OK. She was a good student, making the Principal and Superintendent's honor rolls and participated in the Upwards Bound College Program. She especially enjoyed riding horses, showing sheep in FFA, playing softball and spending time with her friends.

On July 10, 2013 at the age of eleven, she was baptized and became a member of the Church of Christ in Arnett, OK. The Leadership Training for Christ program was very special to her and she attended the annual convention held on Easter weekend in Rogers, AR. She also enjoyed the fellowship of the Blue Haven Church camp in Las Vegas, N.M. After moving to Howe, OK. she was a member of the youth group at Green Country Cowboy Church in Wister, OK.

Riley is preceded in death by a niece, Paislee Marie Bryan. She is survived by her parents, Chris Bryan and wife Lisa of Howe, OK. and Whitney Phillips and husband, Cole of Claremore, OK. Her brothers, Wilfred Bryan in the USAF-Japan, Dalton Bryan of Arnett, OK, Walker Bryan of Howe, OK and Kellin Philllips of Arnett, OK. Her sisters, Amre Gathright of Van Buren, AR., Savanna and Hadley Bryan of Howe, OK. and Jessica Bell of Poteau, OK. Maternal grandparents, Clinton and Pam Davis of Arnett, OK. and paternal grandparents Gerald and Erma Bryan of Jackson, MO. Several aunts and uncles, four nieces, one nephew, other relatives, her classmates and friends.
