Robert Clifton Green, 82, of Leedey, Oklahoma, passed away on February 24, 2025. He was born on March 31, 1942, in Leedey to George Clifton Green and Laura Mae Switzer.
Robert grew up in Leedey, attending all 12 grades of school and graduating with the Class of 1960. Later in life, he furthered his education at High Plains Technology Center in Woodward, Oklahoma, where he studied metal lathing.
A hardworking man, Robert dedicated his life to farming and agriculture. He was also a skilled welder, dozer operator, and scraper, always putting his hands to work with determination and pride. His love for the land was evident in everything he did.
Robert's hobbies reflected his deep-rooted passion for rural life. He found joy in cutting wheat, hunting, tending to cattle, and spending time with his family. He had a special appreciation for old tractors and spent countless hours restoring them. He also enjoyed attending auctions, always on the lookout for a good find.
Robert was preceded in death by his parents, George and Laura Green; his sister, Ruth Musser; and his brother-in-law, Leroy Harrell.
He is survived by his children: RC Green and wife Melissa of Leedey, Oklahoma; Danny Green of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma; Laura Collins and husband Isam of Noble, Oklahoma; and John Green and wife Brandi of Leedey, Oklahoma. He also leaves behind his cherished grandchildren: Nicholas and Mikayla Green and their daughter Nicole, Tonya and Bryan Gonzales, kids Vivian, Brier, and Magnolia of Duke, Oklahoma; Bryan, Lauren, and Elener Trayler of Lonewolf, Oklahoma; David Johnson of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma; Jace Green, Reece Green, and Emma Collins. Additionally, he is survived by his sister, Dorothy Harrell of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma; nieces Roberta Varney and Diana Clevinger; as well as many dear friends and loved ones.
Robert will be remembered for his strong work ethic, his love for his family, and his unwavering connection to the land. His legacy of hard work and dedication will live on in those who knew and loved him.
