Robert "Bob"
Lee Rock
September 4, 1938 – June 26, 2024
Robert "Bob" Lee Rock passed away peacefully in Oklahoma City, OK, on June 26, 2024. He was born on September 4, 1938, in Porum, OK, to William "Bill" and Nancy (Grayson) Rock. During his childhood, Bob moved to Gray, OK, and attended school in Balko, OK, and Perryton, TX.
On January 21, 1961, Bob married the love of his life, Rosemary Freeman, in Clovis, NM. Together, they were blessed with three children: son Leelyn Dade, daughter Lisa Kathrine, and son Steven William. The family settled in Texhoma, OK, and later lived throughout the Texas Panhandle, including Perryton and Farnsworth, TX, before moving to Woodward, OK, in the mid-1980s.
Bob dedicated his life to farming and ranching and later worked with livestock in Woodward before retiring. He had a passion for old westerns, history, and reading his Bible. He enjoyed playing horseshoes, telling stories, and sharing a good meal with family and friends.
A devoted member of the Lincoln Ave. Baptist Church in Woodward, Bob valued his faith deeply. Even when he couldn't attend regularly, he faithfully paid his tithes and offerings and read his Bible daily.
Bob is preceded in death by his parents, Bill and Nancy Rock; his beloved wife, Rosemary Rock, who passed in February 2010; infant granddaughter April Rock; grandsons Jonathon Deon Rock and Brice Lukes; brother William Rock, Jr.; and sisters Virginia Frost, Ada Strutton, and Iva Cathey.
He is survived by his children: Leelyn Rock of Woodward, OK; Lisa Rock of Woodward, OK; and Steven Rock of Woodward, OK; daughter-in-law Shelia Rock of Perryton, TX; granddaughter Kim Fowler and husband Jeremy of Perryton, TX; grandson Dade Rock and wife Kristen of Booker, TX; and grandson Joshua McClain. Rock, and Cici Rock; sister Carolyn Limbocker and husband Kenny of Claremore, OK; brother Hollace Rock and wife Wanda of Point Rock, TX; four great-great-grandchildren; many nieces and nephews; and a host of loved ones and friends.
Bob's legacy of love, faith, and family will be cherished by all who knew him.
